Online students can access Lexis+ and Westlaw through unique logins they create. You will be sent codes and instructions for each service at the beginning of your time as a VLGS student.

Lexis+ and Westlaw are vast databases that contain millions of documents and offer powerful search features. The library highly recommends obtaining at least some training on each service. Even a short orientation before diving in will save you a tremendous amount of time.

In addition to the training videos mentioned above, our Lexis+ and Westlaw representatives recorded research refresher videos just for VLGS! They cover important research skills, such as how to perform a Boolean search. The Westlaw video also comes with a handout that covers the video's material.
