Faculty Library Guide

Faculty Assistance

Full-time faculty, whether residential or online, are assigned a reference librarian as a faculty liaison at the beginning of the fall semester. Your liaison will send you an email letting you know they've been assigned to you. They can help you with research questions, present a research session for one of your classes, provide your research assistants with training, accept requests for new library materials, and provide alerts when new library materials are available. If you don't remember your assigned liaison, please contact Stefanie Skogen, Reference and Academic Outreach Librarian.

Adjunct faculty are welcome to contact the reference librarians if they need any of the services listed above. The library's reference hours are weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. You can reach the reference librarians by email at reference@vermontlaw.edu. If you send a message after hours or on the weekend, a reference librarian will respond on the next business day. You can also call the Information Desk at 802-831-1441 and ask to be transferred to the reference librarian on duty.

Research Guides

Library staff create and maintain specialized research guides to help the VLGS community learn what resources are available about a specific area of law or policy. We also have guides about using JULIEN and accessing ebooks. All our guides are available on the library's homepage under Research Guides.
