Online Students' Library Services Guide

Information about Vermont Law School's Cornell Library and the services we offer to our online students

Library Overview

The Julien and Virginia Cornell Library at Vermont Law School is a rich resource for students and faculty. The 35,000-square-foot library houses our materials across four floors, including a highly specialized environmental law collection and the Environmental Reading Room. We are also fortunate to have a knowledgeable, service-oriented, and friendly staff.

The library’s collection is searchable via JULIEN, the online library catalog.  In addition, students, faculty and staff have access to the following:

  • More than 300,000 titles in our collections including 242,000 e-books;

  • Lexis Advance, Westlaw and Bloomberg Law;

  • More than 70 specialized research databases such as Greenwire, ChinaLawInfo & JSTOR

In addition to traditional library services such as reference help and Interlibrary Loan, the library also offers one-on-one research consultation; a huge e-book collection, and exam support such as online study aids from West Academic and study break activities.

Librarians serve as faculty liaisons, offering research sessions for classes, library service assistance, and more.

On behalf of all of us in the Cornell Library, we look forward to working with you!
